Going to store to get ingredients for my part of dinner tonight; am repeating last year's Lenten fast, namely, no meat & no other food products that specifically required a member of the Kingdom Animalia to die. (If my family gives me puzzled looks about not eating fish ONE... MORE... TIME...) Well aware that vegetables, even organic ones, are farmed by means that kill insects but there is no real help for that as I am not about to become a Jain.

Must find more muffin rings.

I'm not going to take so damn long between posts again. I had almost forgotten how much I like getting into Sergeant Preston's head; he's an amazing antidote to guys like John and Wayne. (Carrying all three of them in my skull at once makes Orwellian doublethink look like chewing gum. Not chewing gum and walking. Just sitting still and chewing gum.) There'll be more Hellblazer: Hogwarts shortly, I've started on the next bit, but I had to get back to the Mountie for a while.

Also, new icon. I'm scanning in lots of stuff from my Alaska trip last September; this icon was taken from a photo of Iditarod winner Susan Butcher's Fairbanks-area training facility for her dogs.
