Depending on whether you use the movie chronology or the book, the HAL 9000 computer turned either seven or twelve years old today- 12 January 2004. True, HAL is not currently operational due to the efforts of astronaut Dave Bowman, but he'll be back soon enough.

who was making sad noises about participating in memes, I thought I'd participate in the one I saw in her journal and cadhla's.
