Just got off the phone with a friend. Went downstairs. Mom's watching the weather report.

Half the map behind the terribly earnest weatherman is taken up by the words BRUTALLY COLD ARCTIC AIR MASS. Said BRUTALLY COLD ARCTIC AIR MASS is a looming, vaguely triangular shape easing its way down over two of the Great Lakes, specifically Ontario and Erie.

As the weatherman started predicting temperatures, the computer animated the map. The triangle rotated until it covered New Jersey.

Isn't it sweet? Canada is trying to follow me home!
