Got up early this morning.

Co-taught CPR to a bunch of people at Cytec Industries. Going to stay late tonight - I have to teach CPR to four or five people here at the chapter. Lunch was free, courtesy of the Cytec cafeteria, but dinner is whatever I find when I get home.

Yeah, banal, whatever. I got up half an hour early from weird and fitful dreams I hardly remember, and I had no morning caffeine until I got a cup of tea, which wasn't quite enough. I'm trying to muster some proper creativity, if only because cadhla was quite helpful the other night with some RP about Ho and Aijou finally hitting the sea on the version of Earth where Ho was born and I really ought to at least try to come up with a companion piece to Such Good Stars. Urgh, maybe later.

One trick I use to get rid of nightmares is to go back to the point where I wake up, and then change the bad dream into... a bad dream. Redream (daydream) something new into it and dream on to a better conclusion.

Some of those psychic bad feelings can drag on forever.

Oh, it wasn't a nightmare, it was just a fitful dream. Something about fixing my car's engine by pouring antifreeze into this huge section of it that looked like a cross-section of mechanical lung tissue, which segued into something about my old university only the building was about twenty floors taller and three times more complicated and I had to lead a group of dwarves through it. Things like that. I woke up during REM and didn't feel quite right for an hour or two as a consequence.

His reaction, although opening a mermaid sushi bar might still happen. Ho's reaction to that phrase is 'hmm, I bet mermaids would like nigiri-zushi made from shrimp'.
