Stupid Update

Apparently Stupid the Thunkbird is either obsessive about family protection, or was warning males away... I got to work this morning and in addition to muddy beak and claw marks all over my window (75% of which were within a single area about the size of a human face), there was a nest in the tree just outside - and a robin settled in it.

Some time later I got a few more thunks. The bird's currently away from the nest. I assume that means mealtime.
