The only reason I'm even willing to consider acknowledging this possibility is because on occasion, when I am very very tired and not paying attention, I seem to briefly understand languages I don't actually know. This happened once with Russian (I was working in a drugstore and someone asked me a question about an electronic thermometer) and once with Greek (which I had learned a little of, but it was ancient Greek and the speaker was using modern Green and I wasn't that fluent anyway). Otherwise, though... you know what my brain is like. D'you honestly think the Order would touch me with a ten-meter cattle prod?
