Heyyy... beats waiting for the next VSDs.
Jan. 20th, 2003 12:59 amI've been poking around
marysues, the Mary Sues community, and in the process found my way to the Mary Sue Society's web page. From there a few clicks got me down to the Lord of the Rings section, and as I was pawing through that, I found this little gem...
Nine Men and a Little Lady
The diaries of the Fellowship after they have been saddled with that most odious of creatures, the fangirl Mary Sue. Written as a warning to those who would insert themselves into the movie, but - I think - wonderfully funny. Since there's no new VSDs due out for a while, why not give it a look?

As ever, you are...

My own unwritten foray into the genre of adding characters to famous stories : 'Quintus hides under a table in The Prancing Pony until it all goes away' would not be that exciting a read I suspect. THRILL as our hero tackles a beer bottle with a Swiss Army Knife (Which does not glow in the presence of anything except super-critical masses of Plutonium), GASP as the brave adventurer hides in the privies at the slightest mention of magic, TREMBLE as the bold outworlder explains the concept of 'force multipliers' to the local hobbit militia.
