Got the earmuffs Saturday, wore them on the boat today. My physics toolbox app said sound levels where I was sitting were 85 dB. The muffs are from Decibel Defender and are supposedly rated at 37 dB. They worked pretty well as long as I didn't turn my head far enough to distort the place where the muffs rested against my skin, and they're not uncomfortable, so I'll probably keep using them.

They're not headphones, just noise blockers. I considered getting noise blockers with Bluetooth built in, but I have a few too many memories of sudden BRRT noises coming through previous Bluetooth headsets and I'm not sure what caused them. I think it might be related to other devices trying to pair. I just don't want to deal with that; I'll take plain old muffling. Not like I talk to people on the boat much.

I'm not sure what levels of dampening you are looking for, but I've had rather good luck with Loop earplugs
