Tuonela update
Dec. 26th, 2002 11:29 amHuh. Somehow my last several decisions moved us out of Democratic Socialism and into Inoffensive Centrist Democracy. I would not mind that if our political rights were better; I am going to have to hope that the next few issues to come down the pike push us in that direction. On the bright side, our economy is Fair rather than Imploded, Fragile, Developing or Weak. I can deal with this. We had no ideological commitment to socialism; we were socialist because our decisions led us that way. We are attempting to pursue a path of compassionate development and freedom, and I would like to say once again that I did not mean to outlaw extremist political parties.
Now let's see how regulating animal cruelty affects our freedoms and the economy. I'm not going to expel the animal liberationists if I don't have to, and I'm not outlawing meat, either. Mmm, yummy porot.
