Decided that each time the news media or my own biochemistry leaves me emotionally exhausted or despairing, I would do one floor pushup or five wall pushups.

I read a news story out of Missouri today.

Five floor pushups.

I got the idea from a meme I kept seeing on a D&D related subreddit. It was a cartoon of an average-looking guy and a heavily muscled guy; average guy asks muscle guy, "How'd you get so buff?" "Every time *INSERT WHATEVER PROBLEM THE MEME IS TALKING ABOUT HERE*... I do one pushup."

Honestly, I kinda wish I'd encountered the meme sometime around 2016 but I have little doubt I'll make up for lost time.
