camwynI've been using My Noise as a background sound generator and noise blocker for years. More so since January of 2021, when I woke up one morning with a stiff neck and a wicked case of tinnitus. The stiff neck has gone away, the tinnitus hasn't.
Several of the sound generators on the site have been helpful in masking the tinnitus on the bad days, especially the Neuromodulator and Brood X. Right now I'm testing one out that seems to be doing surprisingly well: HAM Radio.
On a somewhat related note, it appears that using a very specific privacy-oriented web browser and replacing my machine's hosts file with the contents of the someonewhocares.org's host text file results in Pandora running without ads of any kind. So no Mike fucking Lindell and no paying them bribe money to not have to listen to that wretch, either. I TRIED to be nice and I TRIED to compensate them for the use of their service, but there's a thread on their user support forum over a year long from people who want either to see Pandora drop his advertising or at least have the ability to shut off his specific ads, and the attitude from Pandora amounts to 'it's one advertiser and he pays us money to sell pillows, he's not violating anything, deal with it'. If they're going to be like that, I'm going to be like this.)
