it's never a good sign when your downstairs neighbor calls you and begs you, "I don't know how to set up for ordering these things but I know you get them, could you please order some pedialyte and gingerale and the other thing, I don't... Gatorade", is it.
She's sick. I don't know with what. I know it's bad enough that she had trouble getting down the stairs and back up to her apartment. I know she's had COVID before, or at least tested positive after exposure- I don't know if she had much in the way of symptoms or what.
Hopefully this is just some form of food poisoning and getting fluids into her will do the trick. I've got someone going to CVS for the requested liquids; he's also going to pick up vegetable soup and crackers. I also grabbed my Nuun electrolyte + vitamin tablets and the emergency packets of oral rehydration salts I bought a while back after hearing what COVID could do to your digestive tract, and one of my packages of loperamide (aka Imodium). The ORS packages are probably a better idea than the Nuun but I figure it's an alternative. Yes, I know Pedialyte'll do the same thing. Whatever works.
.....
....
I really hope she didn't answer the phone just now when I called her about the soup because she had to lie down or because she was in the bathroom. I'll try again when the shopping gets here.
