Apr. 13th, 2021 11:11 amnote to self: yes, very good, you got the new T-shirt finished, but next time please TRY and make a point of pressing the side seams in the appropriate direction immediately after you sew them, otherwise you will sew them down facing the wrong way when you stitch the hem, and your hems on knit items have enough problems as it stands
I will try to get a picture of the shirt in situ later, or possibly after it's been through the wash. It's not great but given that it's maybe my third time sewing with knits (not counting making my first few masks out of T-shirt fabric, before I knew what the hell I was doing with anything whatsoever), I'm not too upset about it. I will be following a professional pattern the next few times rather than one I drafted myself that comes with no instructions beyond five different web sites' "and then you do this!" spiels.
