Also, last night the clouds cleared enough that I actually did get to see the Great Conjunction. It was over Boston, more or less over Dorchester if I have my map lines right (a little hard to say, there was a yacht club and then Logan Airport between me and Boston proper). I would not have recognized it as anything other than a very bright star without binoculars- LASIK haloes mean that I couldn't spot two different points of light until I had the binocs isolate the area.

Beautiful sight to see, though.
