camwynI made a couple of masks for my sister and her kids. Wonder Woman for one of the girls, Spider-Man for another, Minecraft for the oldest girl, rainbow colored musical notes on a black background for my nephew, puzzle pieces for my sister. Also Darth Vader, because her fiance* requested a Vader mask for one of his kids.
Recently my sister asked if the Spider-Man masks were in adult sizes, because her fiance has more than one kid and the other one expressed an interest. I told her I'd used a template for ages 6 to 10 but still had Spider-Fabric left over, so I've finished up a new one...
I like to think I'm getting better at sewing these. This mask is from the Fitted Face Mask Pattern For Glasses at madebybarb.com. Quilting cotton for the Spider-man layer, 600 thread count cotton pillowcase fabric for the side against the face, two layers of polyester chiffon on the inside for Argonne National Labs filtration recommendations. No wire in the nose, just some fusible web for stiffening the fabric a bit. It's going in the mail so I didn't think wire would be a great idea.
