Heard the raven again. At least, I assume it's the raven. Too rounded-sounding for an American crow, nowhere near nasal enough for a fish crow, and anyway I've been living here since early 2013 and I've seen a fish crow in this area all of once. (Lawrence is another story. Getting out of flight school around dusk in autumn can make the walk to the car a real Game of Thrones moment- there are, according to MassAudubon, no fewer than 18,000 crows of varying species, plus unspecified numbers of ravens, living in the Lawrence, Mass. area at that time of year. I counted something like three hundred passing overhead in five minutes, once.)
