May. 19th, 2020 10:21 amWhat kind of tip do you give for an Instacart shopper who found 17 out of 19 items in your order, then dropped off someone else's stuff on your doorstep?
I have no use for... whatever this other person ordered. I saw the top of the bags and things that have nothing to do with what I ordered (it looked like it was arugula or other mixed salad greens, and there were Tostitos poking out of one bag), turned around, and contacted Instacart immediately. They placed my order for free redelivery in two days, but now I have to rate the original order and allocate tip money and I don't want to be That Asshole Who Promised A Good Tip Then Revoked Their Promise... but this isn't what I ordered and unless she managed to sneak her car in when I wasn't looking out the front window, it's been an hour since she dropped it off and she hasn't come back with the right stuff.

Date: 2020-05-19 07:48 pm (UTC)So I reported the problem, they said they'd contact her but that if she didn't show up I could keep the food, they offered to put through a reorder of everything I was supposed to get, I told them to please do that, they said they couldn't deliver before the 21st, I said that was fine, they put through the reorder at no charge, I waited two hours, and then I put the bags of jarred pasta sauce and Tostitos and arugula and elbow mac and white bread on my neighbor's doorstep and texted him to let him know he could have the food if he wanted or drop it off at the food pantry collection site if he didn't want it.
