camwynOn hold waiting for the helpdesk folks at our remote access software company to pick up the phone. NO idea when they'll be able to; they had an edit at the start of the hold music where they mentioned they were getting a HUGE number of extra calls due to the COVID-19 health crisis and the flood of new users.
Trying to get other things done, but in the meantime I'm remembering that at least one of the Windows startup sounds was actually a few-seconds-long piece of electronic music/sound written by Brian Eno, and wondering whether you can make a career of writing music for hold queues and videogame loading screens. Somebody's got to come up with those soundscapes, after all.
