(Look, the whole "OMG you have no KETTLES how do you BOIL WATER for your WHAT YOU USE THE MICROWAVE YOU BARBARIANS" thing came up on Tumblr years ago and has been in my head ever since. I had an electric kettle at the time, because it's just easier if your primary source of caffeine is a French press, but it's a little bit of a sore point.) This is it:
