There used to be an aromatherapy soap in some hemp and selfcare store in New York City- might've been the Body Shop, might've been something else, I don't remember except that it wasn't LUSH- that was labeled Muscle-Relax. Green color. Cedarwood, clove, eucalyptus scent blend. Nice stuff.

Went looking for that scent blend today on Etsy. Seems like nine tenths of the items that carry at least two of those scents together are soaps for men, and a significant number of the rest are beard oil formulations.

X chromosomes wanna smell like trees too, folks.



(Side note: Arm and Hammer Essentials deodorant is a non-aluminum-containing, non-antiperspirant deodorant that is available in a number of tree-like smells for half the price of Toms of Maine, and while the Arm and Hammer web site classifies it under men's personal care, there is no indicator on the packaging that it's marketed at any particular gender. I can appreciate this.)

Here here. I'm a CIS woman and on the quirkily variable mid femme side, but am a fan of what are often called more androgynous scents. Cedar wood is lovely stuff. Going sniffing (heh) for candles on Etsy once brought up a set that sounded fantastic - amber was included in one, another was saffron ginger... and the name of the trio? Nontoxic masculinity. I facepalmed. :s
