I wore the coiled brass necklace this morning, the one I originally made in copper, and the young woman here in the office who was kind enough to pose for me with the ear climbers for photography expressed an interest in giving her mother the same necklace. She specifically indicated interest in its heft and its being brass, even though I mentioned the way brass can discolor the skin (she thought Mom would only be likely to wear it in elegant situations so sweating wouldn't be an issue).
I'd been planning on making a pair of dangly earrings for her as thanks for the photo shoot, but doing a custom piece up for her and applying a significant discount might work, too- she'd said she knew she'd be paying for the time and skill.
Wish I'd kept track of how long the original took to make. If I have any 14 gauge or possibly 16 gauge left I will see about making two or three units and then multiply the time upwards.
