A realization that struck me the other day, which has made office breakfast so much more bearable:
it's okay to make savoury oatmeal
This realisation prompted by not being able to face yet another cinnamon sugar jar of refrigerator oatmeal, the presence of a jar of nutritional yeast and a jar of King Arthur Flour cheddar cheese powder in the pantry, and the thought that people pay good money for lunchtime barley bowls and what's the difference between oats and barley anyway.
