Does anyone else here find that they get spambot journals following them? Usually in the form of a blank journal with a user name that amounts to 'female western european first name, middle initial, western european last name' and a profile pic of a vaguely attractive smiling white woman, with a profile claiming to be reading up on a new subject of some kind that is very interesting to them but which is, in fact, irrelevant or stupid? Because I get these a lot.

I have gotten one or two. I think you maybe have tipped their scales with either frequency of posts or followers or something. They may have decided you're an Influencer.

I've gotten one or two and oddly enough, it's been for my nonbinary RPG character journal. Same journal as getting a lot of bots over on LJ, too.

Ugh, weird! I haven't, but now I'm wondering if that's a "yet," or if I don't post enough to attract 'em.

I think I just got one following me. Nothing posted, yet, and her profile says she just read a website that she found fascinating (with link but no info why it was fascinating) and she's good at her job. Claimes more years of experience at said job than her picture looks in age, and the pic looks like some actress at an opening or gala.
