camwynWorking on my next statement necklace, which was the cover design on a UK bead-and-other-things jewelry magazine back in... I'm not sure, I think the magazine came out in February. Wire and a bunch of crystal dangly bits. Lots of fiddly work but after working up the netted ropes on my previous necklace a little fussing over wire wrap isn't a big problem. I need to take some progress pictures, though.
I dug out some pieces I hadn't worn in a while and haven't listed on Etsy this morning. I don't think I'll ever quite get over the amusement that comes with knowing that if you don't mind it originating in a lab in Germany instead of a hole in the ground in Sri Lanka or Montana, you can get a respectably sized and colored sapphire for the price of a Triple Baconator.
(You still have to deal with the cost of materials to mount it in, the labor of mounting it, the design of whatever piece of jewelry it's going into in the first place, etc. But still.)
