One of their toy companies, Mega Blox, makes products not unlike Legos. This is innately cool, as Legos are simply cool and have spread that coolness to other plastic snap together building block toys, but the true potential of Canadian building block toys can be seen RIGHT HERE:

Look! It's a giant Anubis-shaped robot! Never mind the scorpion, lookit the Anubis! It comes with a tiny little pilot in Egyptian head-scarf thing (I can't remember its name) and its very own pair of plastic khopesh! It's way cooler than their Ninja and Dragon transforming Blok Bots(tm), or their Knight and Wolf bots. C'mon. Anubis! In building blocks! It's cool, dammit!

I'd have bought this for cadhla's Hogswatch present except that I'd ordered her present earlier in the day from an online retailer. Now I gotta find someone to buy this for. But damn. One more reason to suck up to our neighbours to the north: they makes 'em some damn fine toys.
