Note to self: never again attempt to sit through the Real Ghostbusters episode "Boo-Dunit".

This went beyond 'this is a bad episode' and 'I could write a better Ghostbusters-have-to-solve-a-murder-mystery episode than this' into 'this episode, with only a tiny adjustment to the plot setup, would have been a hundred and fifty percent better as a Flintstones episode'. With a side of 'and the animation studio this was farmed out to apparently had Employee Beer Taste Testing Day before people picked up their pens'.

Yeegh.

About three years ago, when TRG showed up on Crackle, I tried to watch an episode - the one with Peter's dad selling fake ghost insurance. I got about five minutes into it before the pacing and the animation killed me. For years, I told Batya how much I loved this show. And after watching for one minute, she can never be convinced of how good it was at the time.

Yeah, it helps to pick the right episode to start with. The ones that weren't by JMS or by Judith/Garfield Reeves-Stevens were heavily visited by the Suck Fairy. Whereas JMS was able to take the concept of 'a guy sells his soul to the devil in order to get rid of all the chickens in the world' and make it good in a 24-minute time slot.
