Unrelated to helicopters...

I posted a picture of a pendant and earring sea glass set I'd made to Tumblr- it was already sold, so I didn't list it anywhere, but I was a little proud of having found three suitable pieces of blue sea glass for a coordinated set and wanted to show off the work.

I don't normally get reblogs of my jewelry pieces, but apparently some solarpunk blog picked it up, and now I'm debating labeling my sea glass item postings as 'solarpunk' in general. The sustainable future implicit in the solarpunk vision would be looking upon the relics of the one-and-done industrial past as things as rare as gemstones, after all.

I'm writing a solarpunk story right now, so I spend a TON of time in the aesthetic; I do think it suits really well! I can see seaglass fitting overall as something that is reworked or created by nature, too -- recycling at its origin.
