camwynPraise God that Fang, my character at Ashes to Ashes, never saw this when he was younger and has no way of seeing it now.
I didn't know the Japanese did a Spider-Man tv series, did you? With a singing cowboy, and a sidekick kid in short pants, and the Iron Cross Army of space aliens, and a giant transforming robot that Spidey could summon?
Oh, and while I'm at it... go to this little gem of a Bad Movie review to see what Fang's going to look like if he keeps up the Hermetic business long enough. Barring that, just .
This guy's name is Lam Ching Ying, and he made a LOT of his career playing Taoist ghostbuster parts. I stole a number of elements from his history for Fang - mostly his school career and such. Fang went to the same opera school as him. Liver cancer got him in 1997, but he's just too cool to be as obscure as he is, and the least I can do is pay him a little tribute. Heck, Mr. Vampire was the first DVD I ever bought. Fabulous movie, fabulous actor, and fabulous character fully capable of seriously fantastic magic and kung fu. Fang's going to give the Hermetics conniption fits, but they'll just have to deal with it. Besides, he looks good in yellow ritual robes, and grey hair will probably suit him, ne?
