Went to see Sorry To Bother You last night. Good movie, and funny, and darkly satirical, and the first time in a LONG time that I have been genuinely surprised by a movie.

I... do not know how to describe the surprise without giving away a major plot point. I am going to put it behind a cut because I have to tell somebody.

Okay, here it is- the WorryFree Corporation is not only providing what amounts to slave labor but has just begun genetically altering its workers into bipedal heavily muscular horse-men for maximum extraction of physical labor. And we find this out when the main character opens the bathroom door on one of them and gets an eyefull of heavily muscular naked horse-man and the camera shows everything. Later on the main character is offered a job involving manipulating the horse-people and the offer involves the phrase 'you get a hundred million dollars and a horse cock', so the director is kinda making a point of making sure that yeah, no, this is not a Disney-made heavily muscular horse-man deal.

I just... it... yeah.

(Also for those who may have an issue with such things, Tessa Thompson's character is a performance artist who at one point does a piece that involves standing in front of a crowd wearing only strategically placed gloves while they throw cell phones, bullet casings, and water balloons full of sheep's blood at her.)

Yeah, in trying to describe it to someone without giving anything away I said 'It's like someone stuck Repoman, Office Space, and Get Out in a blender and then hung some epic earrings on the glass'.

I am impressed that the previews gave away none of the Worry Free stuff.
