Tip: if you're writing something that takes place on Earth and requires sea travel between two real-world port cities and you don't know how long it's likely to take because Google Maps presumes you can only travel on land or by air, pay a visit to https://sea-distances.org/ . You can get the distances between rather a lot of pairs of port cities there, and if you happen to know how fast a ship similar to the one you're writing about can travel, you can have the site calculate the transit time for you too.

Storms, navigation troubles, and pausing for the night (or whatever) are your responsibility to account for.
