camwynAlmost forgot, I saw Rampage this weekend. I enjoyed it immensely.
It is my personal headcanon that after Lizzie got hit by the Project Rampage pathogen, she made her way along the Florida coast until she passed through the Shimmer and proceeded to eat pretty much everything in Area X that crossed her path, including the whatever-it-was at the lighthouse. The Shimmer promptly collapsed, leaving the Southern Reach folks going ".... um" while the thirty foot ankylogator happily raged her way northward undetected at ridiculously high speed until she reached Chicago. Jeffrey Dean Morgan's character later met up with the highest ranking Southern Reach officials remaining to smirk at them in an extra gratuitous cowboy accent, possibly while feeding Cheetos to the rat.
Because frankly Rampage was less scientifically aggravating than what made it to the screen in Annihilation.
