Note to self #2: the earring design used for earrings 1 and 3 in my prior post, and possibly 4, is not compatible with winter. If one wears one's jacket collar turned upward for maximum coverage, or wears an earflap hat, or even an especially large scarf, it will butt up against the bottom of one or both earrings and work them out of one's ears.

Add a fastener loop of some sort near the bottom. Or work up a version of the design with fastening next to the earlobe if that doesn't work.
