Bead and Button Magazine has a monthly design challenge where people are given a theme a month or two in advance and are asked to submit their results for both editor judging and reader voting. The theme for August was 'A Day At The Beach'. I submitted my entry yesterday; voting begins on the 18th.

I kind of love the stuff you can do with sea glass, even if I'm only a very awkward beginner with it. It's literally trash. It's the legacy of Boston drinking ridiculous amounts of booze for year on end. And it still comes out gorgeous if you know how to treat it.

There is probably a comparison to pearls here somewhere but I'm not quite sure how to phrase it.
