I have a question for folks who are at least a bit familiar with my cat.

I'm fairly close to the point of getting an endorsement to fly solo for the first time, so I'm... well, I know the point of not being allowed to solo until you have an endorsement from your instructor is to ensure that you don't go into the air alone until you have the skills to handle it. But still, I can't help but want to take a few measures in advance, just in case.

Would any of you guys who know Kamella, or who at least have a fondness for cats, be interested in looking after her in the event that something happens to me? I feel like a responsible pet owner should set these things up in advance.

I'm far away and would likely not be a good choice, but that is so awesome of you to make these arrangements. I need to do this, and I don't fly planes.

I would be willing if my household didn't already have two cats, and if my one of those two cats weren't kind of a jerk without many kitty social skills. :-/ I just tend to feel like introducing another cat into the mix would not be especially kind to any party, at least while Eva Luna is middle-aged and set in her ways. But I'd be willing to do something short-term as a transition to a more permanent person picking her up, or something.

It's a good thought to make arrangements, though. May your responsibility be unnecessary! But still.

In the event this was needed, I would definitely be on call to take care of kitty. I'm sure it will never need to happen...but yeah, you're smart to make plans. Every pet owner should.
