If I ever hear the term "in cycle" again I am probably going to have to get up and leave the room for a bit. Or "paraphilia not otherwise specified". "DSM-V" might not be so bad but it's up there.

The trial I sat on involved carefully defining "frottage" and whether or not the defendant was pushing someone else away or groping them, so yeah.

On the bright side I could tell which of my fellow jurors had played Assassin's Creed II because the psychiatrist that gave testimony was named "Ezio" and everybody involved in the trial used a different pronunciation for it.

Heh. Closest I got to that was one juror asking whose phone was making the Transformers noises in the jury room (it's my alert for an incoming email on a non-work account) and another juror encouraging me to quote the Deadpool movie when we were discussing possible consensual aspects of an otherwise paraphilic situation.

The first, and only jury trial I've got notice to serve for so far was The People vs. Daniel William Marsh.

I think it was the first homicide in Davis in five years, maybe the first double homicide in a couple decades.
