I got jury duty this week, and I was seated on an actual jury. It's a civil case. Beyond that the judge says we're not allowed to talk about anything to do with the trial until it's over, so I'm telling folks who ask that, once again, the question of Santa Claus' legal identity is in court.
We're back to court on Monday. Don't know how long it's likely to last. Can't be worse than that case in Jersey City back in 2010.

Date: 2016-03-04 07:47 pm (UTC)We bought our house knowing that it backed onto a relatively busy road. It's like if we complained about the traffic.
Actually, I have no doubt that the original developers stretched the truth to breaking point--I hear they showed potential buyers a map with two potential routes for the new tollway that bounds one side of our development and assured them that the route farther away made more sense for building, when the city was actually planning on the closer one that eventually got built--but you'd think that you'd at least go look up the zoning yourself instead of trusting that the people who want your money would tell you the entire truth. (We did!)
