Made it to the top of One Boston Place on Saturday for the American Lung Association. My official time was 11:36, which is something like five minutes better than my time over the same course last year. Didn't stop at the rest floors, wore bike shorts instead of exercise pants, spent more time training and practicing, made a point of eating and consuming coffee slightly more than an hour before start time. Paused briefly at a few points, but that was to let faster people pass me, and I resumed immediately after they got a few steps ahead. Total contributions wound up somewhere a little over $500 for Amercan Lung, which is great.
Turns out the MS Society has a climb up the John Hancock Center- I'm sorry, it's officially 200 Clarendon Street now- on March 5th. 61 floors.
I signed up this morning. I plan on making the contributions necessary myself, but if anyone looking at this wants to kick in some money for MS research and treatment, let me know and I'll get you the link.
