Dammit, people, either stop dropping things or look down and pick them up more often.
The latest addition to the list of Things Cam Has Found Which People Are Probably Looking For? It had a guy's name and address on it, which, fine, whatever, but it also had the name, address, and logo of a nearby business. One I've used myself.
Atrius Health.
It was the summarized version of a medical history- past visits, existing conditions, current prescriptions, etc.- that you get from them after a visit to your doctor.
As soon as I realized what it was I folded it up and stuck it in my purse, because the gentleman in question had dropped it several blocks away from the nearest Atrius facility. They were still open, so I handed the document to one of their receptionists and suggested that someone probably ought to let the man know he'd dropped it. I don't know what happened after that, but... good Lord, people. Do yourselves a favour and be careful if you're carrying something with that much personally identifying info.

Date: 2016-02-01 08:28 pm (UTC)I don't get the dropped thing so much but I do come behind people at my apartment who leave obviously important mail on top of the mailboxes at my apartment. I get not wanting to deal with someone else's mail, but put it in the outgoing mail slot if the person doesn't live at the address any longer.
