Despite greedily collecting any intact Power Armor I find, I have yet to really use it outside of the mission where you get the first set. I just take it back to base and set it up on a skiff, and then ignore it. (If I find it early enough in a mission, I'll sometimes make my *companion* wear it until we get back to base.

I pick my suit up any time I get a mission that includes the words 'clear out' or 'kill all the X at'. Which mostly means Preston Garvey missions. Otherwise I'm fairly happy with the Silver Shroud getup.

My usual getup is a Minuteman Outfit, with Deep Pocketed Shadowed Leather chest, Deep Pocketed Shadowed Combat Armor arms and legs, and a Newsboy cap. The cap and uniform both have Mk4 Ballistic Weave.

This picture is from before I switched from Leather to Combat on the arms, but the looks still mostly consistent.
