Woke up last night at 2 AM and for a moment I couldn't remember which travel plaza I was in or which hotel I'd stopped at, but for a hotel it sure had a creaky bed.

Then I remembered that I was in my own apartment, where I had been for the better part of the past week, and that the creaky was because my bed was a platform bed made of wood with not a whole lot of give or bounce designed into it.

Oh dear! The downsides of a long trip, I suppose. (But I do want to hear more about your trip, when/if you feel like writing it up, or hangout time with anecdotes. Mind you, this is a cheerfully hypocritical desire, because I don't think I ever wrote up anything about Becca's and my road trip.)

Anyway, I hope the bed was comfortable, even if it was creaky.
