Apr. 17th, 2015 11:47 pmI have just had a rather nice bath with my first experimental bath bomb. This is the Kaiju Blue scent I have been talking about developing on Tumblr. From this first batch I still have two whole bombs and one half left. One of the whole bombs is going to
crazyfurries as soon as I can figure out how to safely pack it. If possible, I'd like other people to test what's left- I'll let you know in the morning if I have to cancel the test due to delayed onset rashes or anything, but I feel good so far.
These bath bombs contain baking soda, citric acid, corn starch, sea salt, castor oil, the Kaiju Blue essential oil blend, skin-safe cosmetic grade glitter, and blue bath bomb dye. The essential oil mix contains cypress, lemongrass, myrrh, anise, tea tree, grapefruit, and clove oils. I would prefer not to send them through the mail just yet, so if you live in the Boston area, have a bathtub, have a working sense of smell (mine's not great), and would like to test this stuff out, let me know. I apologise in advance if there is too much glitter. I was not sure how much to put in with the 20 ounces of other solid ingredients, so I used a bit less than a teaspoon, but you know how glitter gets...
Anyway. Lemme know if you wanna test and I can hand one bath bomb or half a bath bomb over to you in person. They're about the size of a full-sized LUSH bath bomb, and I used the recipe here if you wanna see the specifics.
Thanks.
