I have just had a rather nice bath with my first experimental bath bomb. This is the Kaiju Blue scent I have been talking about developing on Tumblr. From this first batch I still have two whole bombs and one half left. One of the whole bombs is going to crazyfurries as soon as I can figure out how to safely pack it. If possible, I'd like other people to test what's left- I'll let you know in the morning if I have to cancel the test due to delayed onset rashes or anything, but I feel good so far.

These bath bombs contain baking soda, citric acid, corn starch, sea salt, castor oil, the Kaiju Blue essential oil blend, skin-safe cosmetic grade glitter, and blue bath bomb dye. The essential oil mix contains cypress, lemongrass, myrrh, anise, tea tree, grapefruit, and clove oils. I would prefer not to send them through the mail just yet, so if you live in the Boston area, have a bathtub, have a working sense of smell (mine's not great), and would like to test this stuff out, let me know. I apologise in advance if there is too much glitter. I was not sure how much to put in with the 20 ounces of other solid ingredients, so I used a bit less than a teaspoon, but you know how glitter gets...

Anyway. Lemme know if you wanna test and I can hand one bath bomb or half a bath bomb over to you in person. They're about the size of a full-sized LUSH bath bomb, and I used the recipe here if you wanna see the specifics.

I'm not that bad, but I always follow a bath with a shower regardless of what I put in it. The tub is on the sparkly side, though, and I only used half a bomb, so it may be more glitter than you want.

Ahaha, my schedule these days. Um. Well, Thomas is in town this weekend and we were kicking around the idea of a Sunday picnic on the Common -- is joining in with that of interest to you? Because you'd be totally welcome if so! Otherwise, maybe Friday post-work we could meet up somewhere in the middle? Or maybe this will founder on the rocks of my currently ridiculous schedule.

Oh, that reminds me. I finally opened that package you sent back in December with the shampoo bars. Don't recall which ones you sent, but the one I used was the lighter beige/tan-ish bar. Couldn't figure out the scent, but I didn't have any problems with it.

The lighter of the bars was... probably lavender with beeswax. I think. it's been a while. Glad it worked for you, though!
