It's not a pilot's license yet. I still have to accumulate at least twenty hours of dual instructor time and get an endorsement from my instructor saying "I vouch that this person is okay to fly solo under the following conditions". But the FAA is satisfied that I am healthy enough to be permitted to control an aircraft on my own once I have the skills and experience under my belt.
