I hit my quota of 'things I am able to stomach about the goings-on in the world today' sometime around one PM, having sat through the President's speech. I wrote to my two Senators and to my Representative, because I wanted them to know what I thought, and I donated to the NAACP, because I trust them.

I am putting all relevant keywords I can think of into my various plonk files and blacklists for the rest of today and possibly part of tomorrow. If people post material of this nature without tagging or keywording it I'll plonk their user names for the same amount of time. I can only handle so much. I'm sorry.

If anyone would like links to pictures of fuzzy animals, things with antlers, things with too many legs, or predatory fish, I will be happy to provide those.

I would be inclined to say you probably don't want to know.

I kind of suspected that. (While I didn't know the president was going to do a speech, I avoided the radio news during my morning commute for a reason.)

And in some ways, I kind of feel guilty that I have the option to "not know" because of where I live. Although at least I'm not totally in denial or ignorant of it, which I suppose is good.

If matters would help, my last three entries on tumblr should be of fuzzy animals being ridiculous.

Otherwise, I'm...not going onto tumblr, either. Unless it's hitting fuzzy animal blogs.

I saw a thing with fuzzy antlers today! One of the local whitetail bucks was out with a pair of does, and he was sporting some very velvety headgear. He gave me a look and let me know I'd better not mess with him. Unless I had snacks (I did not have snacks).
