Jul. 30th, 2014 09:39 amOkay, home and safe and all of that. Back to work now, of course, but the trip home went okay.
On the helicopter front, the FAA wants a metabolic evaluation and a kidney function screen (I think) in addition to the info from the urologist. I didn't ask for those at the time I booked my appointments with her because I thought those were just something the doctor would do to evaluate me. Apparently they're blood tests. Got an appointment with a nurse practitioner next week to see about getting those tests done; it was the earliest I could manage. I'm also trying to get Jersey City Medical Center to fax my records from the 2008 ER visit to the FAA, but the fax number they gave me wasn't cooperating. I'll give 'em a call later. I made a point of both faxing and snail-mailing the FAA folks in Nashua with documentation of what I'd done so far to comply with their requests, so with any luck that won't be that big of an issue.
