Did make getting on the blue line at Bowdoin to go home a little weird, though.
Especially since the Bowdoin platform is too short for the whole train and you can only board the last four cars.

Date: 2014-07-07 12:41 pm (UTC)The instant where I saw 'Based on the novel' followed by a French title and a French author's name also made it a lot easier to swallow the science, largely because the only French science fiction other than Verne that I've read was Planet of the Apes. Pierre Boulle made it very clear very early on that the science in his book was jolly well going to take a back seat to the Social Commentary Point He Was Trying To Make, So Deal With It. I kinda figured I was in for the same ride.
