Pretty sure that's more books and test prep than I had to get for any one of my undergraduate college courses. I'm not objecting, you understand, I'm just saying. Worth noting: the FAR AIM book is the Big Book of Laws About Flying, as it stands for Federal Aviation Regulations Aeronautical Information Manual because somebody really wanted the initials to spell okay I'll stop now. It is two and a half inches thick, or close to it. The Pilot's Handbook of Aeronautical Knowledge is about an inch thick. The others are smaller.
Also, yes, the E6-B flight computer is essentially a highly specialized slide rule. I'm good with that. Seems appropriate somehow.
