camwynThe day outside is sunny and bright, but it was about 55 degrees when I left the house. No idea if it's going to get warmer any time soon; we're supposed to see mid-sixties later today, but also clouding. I do know that here in the office it's feeling cold, at least to me. Probably has to do with my office being in front of the server room, which has separate air conditioning.
I plan on spending this weekend visiting other New England communities. It's too early to go for the shark diving thing I saw that they do off the coast of Rhode Island, but I might buy a Groupon for that and use it later in the summer. In the meantime I'll be trying to build my Lovecraftian cred in Providence, among other places. I'm saddened that I won't be able to visit the Culinary Arts Museum there, as it's closed until Labor Day. I'm probably going to go visit Salem again, because last time was 'ride into town, visit the Peabody Essex Museum, go to Starbucks until it's time for the train home' and that's it. Might hit one or two other places, too. We'll see.
Oh- I found out that the blacksmithing class I'd wanted to sign up for is waitlisted. Gonna have to see when the next one is being taught. The Cambridge Adult Ed Center also has glassblowing classes, and they're easier to get to than the Luke Adams studio; I may sign up for one of those. Their three hour course is expensive, but you go home with more glass items than you would at Luke Adams, so it might be worth checking out.
