Will do. FWIW, the preface is from someone at the publisher who originally came up with the title purely as a joke during a phase in the Christian/inspirational publishing industry when everybody was into stories about the Amish. Then, apparently, one of his writers said "Hey, I have an actual idea for a plot. Do you mind if I try writing Amish Vampires In Space for real?"

The three reviews at Amazon seem to indicate that it's pretty good, and they don't seem to be joke reviews, either, so we'll see.

How can Amish Vampires be in space? They can't use automobiles, how can they use spaceships?

And on "How you know you're Derien" today it's the complete ignoring of the existence of spaceships or vampires, and focusing on a religious restriction instead.

Well, I've only gotten to about chapter 2 or 3 at this point, but the initial premise is that the Amish got themselves a colony world so that they could live according to their traditions and laws across the entire planet. So that's the start of it.

They can't drive automobiles, but I think that they're allowed to be passengers, at least in some of the sects, so maybe it's the same thing. It's okay if other people pilot the spaceship for them.

...I'm not sure how anyone would resist a title like that, just for the WTF and train wreck factors alone. :D

I remember that Sherlock Holmes series. I ran across it when I was in San Diego for a Red Cross disaster response (there were wildfires). Don't think I saw more than one episode, but.
