Let me put it this way: this was the first Big Damn Action Movie I have seen in a very, very long time that did not betray the source material or my hopes in one way or another. I intend to go back as soon as I get paid.
I may need to buy the Tales From Year Zero comic. Normally I get very angry about movie tie-ins being the place where the movie makers offload their character development and Other Material You Should Know, but I think they did a good enough job of putting all the Stuff You Need To Know into the actual movie this time. The comic's just for expanding on everybody's histories and the like.
