camwynThose of you who've known me long enough to hear me whine about temperatures during the summer probably also know that my personal Pantheon of Minor Gods begins with Willis Carrier, the inventor of the modern air conditioner, and includes the Boots Group research team that discovered ibuprofen in the 1960s. (It does not include Norman Borlaug for the very simple reason that his Green Revolution research on food crops places him in the Pantheon of Major Gods.)
Speaking as someone who's had problems with glare and halos around her vision since she was eight years old and first had to put on eyeglasses, and had them even after LASIK, and who has finally owned a couple of pairs of polarized sunglasses... I'm adding Edwin Land to the pantheon.
